The Case Closed

We found out that the thief is Mrs Taaffe because there was more evidence from her than all the other teachers. Her feet matched the prints, she had a cut on her hand, she was here on the day, she used the dongle because she had chrome casting issues so she came to Whetu and stole the dongle and her fingerprints are on everything in the scene. Mrs Taaffe was confronted on the 23rd of November 2020. She admitted that she stole the milky way bars and the dongle. Some of us were stoked because she seemed pretty suspicious when she came into Whetu. I felt great that we solved the case now.

Code Breaking

This week the teachers put a new must-do on Whoogle called Think like a detective - Secret codes. It got a little bit hard on the second one when the clue had to be solved backwards. The easiest part was trying to figure out what secret code I could make myself. The hardest part was understanding the second secret code this is no herring.

Athletics

Before athletics began I felt nervous because it's like "this is it, this is what I trained for" In shot put, it went a little bit fun because I had a little bit of support from my mates and that made me come third. When we did high jump I felt nervous and a little afraid cause I knew I couldn't make the jump. At our 100m race, I felt good until Mrs Frazer shot the gun thing to send us running. It was fun as to do long jump because I got a little longer than last time I did long jump at Te Puru. At the 200m I was like "oh my gosh, I'm gonna get smucked up" But I came 2nd to last. Even at high jump when I kept falling over, I enjoyed it. Athletics was fun and I hope I'll be here to do it again.

Fingerprints2.0

Today me and Michael M buddied up to do our fingerprints. When we were waiting for our turn we just hopped on Our CSI website and just did the task that was on the site. When it was our turn, we had to grab our thumb and rub threw our hair. After that, we just got our thumb and pressed it on the window. Then we dusted our print with cornflour and laid the tape on our dusted print. Carefully we ripped the tape off and put it on a cut out black piece of paper. It was sort of hard to rip the tape off the window because the corners of the tape were sort of in shape with the window. Above all that it was exciting todo.

Holidays

In the holidays, I chilled out at home for 3 days then went to Rotorua for 2 nights and when I arrived in Roto's, I saw my cousins that I haven't even met yet and they were from my mum's side, I was just like wow when my cousins were related to me. When I home 2 days later I had to pack again because I had to go to Taranaki and chilled with my canty and cousins threw the whole first day. 2 days later I went to the pools and went down 2 hydra slides, the first one was painful because my head kept banging on the slide and the second one, it went fast and I could just see when I was going in a sort of a straight line. On Thursday last week and my whanau did waka ama which is basically a Kanu and a fin then. On Saturday dada and Jaymie came over and all of the whanau went for a walk at the garden walk, I think that's what it is called. Dada and Jaymie stayed Saturday night and Sunday morning we shot off then waited for an hour when we got back then we went for groceries. For dinner, we had fish n chips.

For my word, I chose Kia Kaha which means be strong. The hardest part was drawing the Tane and Wahine's body. The easiest part would probably be the Maori coloured koru art on the top. I liked learning what Kia Kaha means even though I know what Kia Kaha means, it's still good to re-learn things. I didn't know how to put a video on my drawing so I'll put it in separately.

It's the beat you'd naturally clap along to, or tap your foot to The rhythm is the actual sound or time value of the notes, which in a song would also be the as the words.
